La Tourangelle wanted a site refresh from their current ecommerce storefront hosted on WordPress. They were paying a high monthly price using WooCommerce and the site looked old and outdated.

Pactx worked closely with La Tourangelle to identify existing issues and bottlenecks on their WordPress site. In addition to reviewing other sites that La Tourangelle found inspiration from, Pactx presented a site migration to Shopify. As starting from the ground up Shopify would not only allow them a fresh and feel look for the site, but it would be a major cost saving for the organization.
By migrating over to Shopify, La Tourangelle was able to get new products online more quickly and new pages launched/updated without the need of a developer.
The simple UI of Shopify was straightforward and saved a lot of time for the marketing team at La Touranglle to get in and out of the platform. No longer requiring a developer to make the adjustments or changes on the site. Additionally, the ease of use of the platform allowed them to create discount codes and utilize plugins to get features they wanted without having to pay a hefty price.
In addition, Pactx was able to migrate all recipes and existing pages along with all internal links from the WordPress page to Shopify so no pages or links were lost. Where if lost would have triggered a 404 error. Additionally, Pactx made sure that orders would flow properly into La Tourangelle’s backend (SAP) so their warehouse would receive the online orders. Finally, Pactx verified that the migration didn’t have any major impact to traffic by keeping analytics active and adding additional enhancements. Which allow them to be more data-driven, such as event tracking, additional filters, and enabling enhanced ecommerce.
